Geos Team Biographies

Norbert Klebl, master developer of Geos, spent 25 years in the corporate world in Europe the USA equipped with a European engineering degree and an MBA from Columbia. After an extended sabbatical, he devoted his expertise to demonstrating that a paradigm shift was possible in touristic and residential building practices by developing a self-sustained vacation village in Western Samoa. It was proved that water and energy needs could be produced on- site; rainwater was collected and electricity was produced with a photo-voltaic system. Currently he is master planning and designing a net zero energy community in Colorado where all buildings will be so well insulated and airtight, that passive solar and geo-thermal energy will allow heating and cooling with an energy recovery ventilation (ERV) system. The concept will reduce energy needs by 75% compared to current building practices and make sustainable residential buildings affordable.

Stu Galvis, marketing and sales director of Geos, is one of the foremost green real estate consultants in the country. At the tail end of 4 generations of real estate sales specialists, Stu has been focused primarily on environmental concerns in real estate and home-building since 2004. After founding the real estate consulting team, Boulder Green Properties in 2005, he began to focus more intently on the impact of residential buildings on global climate change. As a result of this newfound focus, in 2007, he was selected by Al Gore’s Climate Project to be trained by Mr. Gore and become a certified presenter for the organization. Later that same year, Stu was selected by EcoBroker International, the green real estate designation, to become their first practicing Realtor national instructor. He now teaches real estate sales people across North America about energy-efficiency, home health, environmental impact, as well as valuation and marketing of residential buildings and holds a position on the board of directors of the Boulder Green Building Guild.
